

Check for local down payment assistance programs (a quick google search provided tons of options). Between down payment assistance and seller concessions, you should be able to get into a home without a down payment if you are otherwise qualified.

Yes.. check with your local real estate agent or a local mortgage broker.. they should be familiar with any local down payment assistance programs or grants being offered in your area.. FHA allows for 100% of your down payment to be gifted, so if you have a rich uncle, that could work.. (just saying!).. There are also some lending programs where you can finance 3% of the required 3.5% down payment via a 2nd mortgage.. under this program, you would only need 1/2% down.
