Lawyer did not reaffirm house during bankrutcy; now what?

I filed bankruptcy in 2009 and thought I reaffirmed both my mortgage and my line of equity accounts. Years later, my mortgage co. states it was not reaffirmed. When I checked my paperwork, the line of equity was, but the mortgage was not. My attorney was killed in a car accident in 6/12, so no help there. I'm currently on an extremely tight budget and as of August will be one month behind on my mortgage payment. I do not know what to do. Am I in a better situation because it was not reaffirmed or worse, now that my income is so much smaller?

This is tricky - more information is needed to see if something can be done. Lenders traditionally have said no to this. I have a fellow lender close a loan that DID NOT have a reaffermation. If you'd like to contact me, I can do the research to see if we can get you qualified. = Mike Silkworth - Union Home Mortgage - East Lansing Branch - msilkworth@unionhomemortgage.com - (517) 489-2328
