It's illegal to discriminate based on your age.. so assuming you meet all eligibility requirements, your age will have no effect on whether or not you get approved..It's impossible for anyone here to say for sure since we would need to know a lot of details.. understand that some costs are fixed, meaning if you purchase a $50K home or a $250K home, the cost is the same.. other fees are variable, meaning they are based on a percentage of the sale price or loan amount.. if you want to know for sure, then contact a local mortgage broker and let him put together a written quote based on what you qualify for.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. Sep 30th 2014Your age cannot be a factor for the consideration of a mortgage loan. So as long as you qualify for a residential loan, your age does not matter. Feel free to contact me with your information so we can discuss current mortgage programs.
Sep 30th 2014Your age only governs your ability to get a loan when you are applying for a reverse mortgage. Your age is not allowed to govern your ability to get a loan on standard conventional, FHA, VA or USDA. Since you are over the age of 62, you are able to qualify for all loans on the market; provided your credit, income, assets and equity position allow it. I would love to help you out. I am actually flying down in a couple weeks to meet with some of my staff so depending on where you're located, I could meet with you as well. Let me know. Sep 30th 2014Lenders cannot factor in your age as a qualifying factor when applying for a mortgage. As long as you meet other qualification requirements, such as income and credit, your are will not be the reason you are unable to qualify for a mortgage.
